Hi, I'm Hailey and I am a 2024 graduate from the University of Alabama where I studied public relations with an emphasis on sports, entertainment and nonprofit communication management. I am proud to have received my bachelor of arts in Communication & Information Sciences with summa cum laude honors after maintaining a work-school-life balance over the past four years.
As a freshman, I was a volunteer social media intern for UA's club hockey team, where I found my love for working in sports. In this position, I focused on social media content creation as well as fundraising and brand awareness efforts – things I still love doing today.
By my junior year, I began working directly with all D1 sports through the university's athletics communications department. Serving as the assistant to the volleyball and softball SID, I can confidently say that working with these teams and this department created some of my absolute favorite memories from my time at Bama.
Upon graduation and most recently, I finished a public relations internship at Confidant, a New York-based agency, where I served as an additional support on multiple client accounts, like Amazon and Shake Shack, focusing on trend research, media relations and assisting with special projects/events.
Apart from sports and entertainment, I have a passion for philanthropy and have contributed to strategic communication efforts for four Alabama-based nonprofits, with some of my most meaningful work impacting the community I got to call home during my collegiate career. I am currently working toward my master of science in Nonprofit Administration at LSU and am excited to continue pursuing this passion.
Outside of academic and professional endeavors, I love going to concerts, keeping up with all-things celebrity and pop culture-related and finding new flavors of Ben & Jerry's to try every time I go to the grocery store.
